Medical name of disease (identified by doctor): Wiskott-Aldrich Syndrome (WAS)
Condition is labile and dependent on blood / platelet transfusion and antibiotic
Ultimate goal is to get Quy the bone marrow transplant (BMT) at VINMEC Internal Hospital, Ha Noi Vietnam to increase his chance of survival. Sister, Pham Khanh Dan has perfect HLA Match.
The BMT for WAS is still pioneering for this rare disease not only in Vietnam but globally including USA.
Stem Cell Therapy (SCT) is still experimental in WAS.
In pivoting this case to international awareness and help so we can save Quy as well as many impoverished severely sick Vietnamese children in the future.
